Terms & Conditions


You and the hotel agree on the terms of the room rental. The name of the company that runs Gysinge Herrgård is Jula Hotell AB (org no. 556719-5812). Unless a special agreement has been reached, the following rules apply. For conferences and group bookings, special rules apply according to the industry organization Visita.

Booking and confirmation
A booking is binding as soon as it has been confirmed and you have received a reservation number. This can be done orally, in writing or via our reservation system. When booking, you are required to state your name, address, arrival and departure time, and how payment is to be made. Different rules apply to different prices, see detailed pricing information.

Booking of minors without the parent’s company
To book a room at Gysinge Herrgård you must be at least 18 years old. A person who books a room for a minor is responsible for the room regardless if they accompany the child or not.

Taking guests to the hotel room
For security reasons, we only allow checked-in guests and our employees to enter hotel rooms or other reserved premises.

Cancellations and no-shows
The terms of cancellation can vary depending on the rate plan chosen. Please read detailed pricing information carefully. Unless otherwise agreed at the time of booking or the price you have chosen has other rules, cancellation must be made no later than 6 pm the day prior to arrival. If you booked via an online travel agency, such as Booking or Expedia, the cancellation must be made with them. No shows will be charged for one night.

Child policy
A child 0-3 years can stay free of charge per 2 adults, if sleeping in same bed as adult. Special rates apply for children 4-12 years old.

Arrival and departure
The hotel room is at your disposal from 3 pm on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, you must leave the room no later than 11 am.

Late arrival
Can be guaranteed against your credit card for late arrival.

Early departures and indeterminate stays
If your booking is made for a specified period of time but departure takes place earlier, this may result in price adjustments. Please contact the reception and announce your departure. If you stay at the hotel and extend your stay by one day at a time, you must notify departure no later than 6 pm the day before departure, or we have the right to charge for an extra day. If the hotel can no longer let you use the room, you have the right to know this no later than 6 pm the day before departure.

For some prices, prepayment applies, please read detailed pricing information. This amount is deducted from the final bill. If you cancel the room without regard to the cancellation policy, the hotel has the right to retain the booking fee/advance payment. Generally, the hotel bill must be paid when you receive it, either upon reservation or upon arrival at the hotel. The hotel accepts the most common credit cards and Swish. However, the hotel is not obliged to accept credit cards, checks, coupons or foreign currency if the hotel has not offered to do so.

Always find out where emergency exits, alarm buttons and fire extinguishers are located. Look for details in the information on the inside of the hotel room door.

Storage of valuables and luggage in the hotel room or in the luggage room
Please do not leave valuables or luggage unattended at check-in/check-out, breakfast or while waiting for transport. The hotel has no security obligation to store property of high value or property that could endanger the hotel staff or other guests. The hotel does not have any strict liability for property that you keep in the hotel room or in your suitcase.

Your own requirements
Many hotels today have adapted parts of the hotel for customers with disabilities. Specify your wishes when making your reservation to make sure that the hotel is properly equipped and can prepare your arrival in the best way.

All rooms and common areas are non-smoking. In the event of a violation of the smoking ban, the hotel has the right to charge the customer the cost of washing textiles, etc, presently SEK 5,000.

Gysinge is an animal-friendly hotel, and we welcome both cats and dogs in some rooms at the facility. Restrictions apply. If you wish to bring a pet, let us know when you book the room. Of course, we also have allergy-friendly rooms.

Technical equipment – meetings
If you need any special technical equipment, please let us know well in advance of your arrival. This is so that your wishes can be accommodated as much as possible.

Food allergies
If you have special requests regarding food (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc), please state these at the time of booking so that we have the opportunity to adapt the food to your requirements.

If the hotel cannot provide you with a room as agreed, you have the right to receive an equivalent or better room within the hotel or at a hotel of equivalent standard at no additional cost.
